Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to tickets, events, products and services provided by On A Plod Ltd. Please read them carefully before purchasing. Last updated: 27 August 2026.
1. About Us
On A Plod Ltd ("On a Plod", "we", "us" or "our") is a company registered in England and Wales.
Company name: On A Plod Ltd
Company number: 16372729
Registered office: Inchmarlo, Station Road, Cattal, York, YO26 8DX, United Kingdom

We organise running, fitness, community and social events and sell related merchandise and products.
2. These Terms
These Terms apply when you:
- Purchase an On a Plod event ticket
- Register for an event
- Attend or participate in an event
- Purchase merchandise or other products from us
- Use our website or online services
Additional terms may apply to a particular event or service.
For event participation, you must also read and accept the On a Plod Event Participation Waiver and Acknowledgement of Risk.
Ticket refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Where event-specific terms apply, they form part of your agreement with us. If there is an inconsistency, the more specific term will apply to the relevant issue, provided that it is lawful and was clearly disclosed to you.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.
3. Booking and Contract Formation
When you place an order or register for an event, you are making an offer to purchase the relevant ticket, product or service.
A contract is formed when your booking or order is accepted and confirmation is provided to you.
We may refuse a booking before acceptance where reasonably necessary, including where:
- An event is sold out
- A product is unavailable
- Payment cannot be authorised
- We reasonably suspect fraud or misuse
- An obvious pricing or listing error has occurred
- You do not satisfy applicable eligibility requirements
If we take payment but cannot accept your booking or order, we will refund the amount paid to us.
Booking confirmations should be checked when received. Please contact us promptly if you believe any information is incorrect.
4. Event Eligibility
Unless the relevant event information expressly states otherwise, participants in On a Plod running events must be 18 years of age or older.
Participants must:
- Meet any eligibility requirements stated for the event
- Be capable of participating safely
- Comply with the Event Participation Waiver
- Follow reasonable event rules and safety instructions
Spectators or other attendees under the age of 18 may be subject to separate event-specific requirements and may need to be accompanied by a responsible adult.
We may ask for proof of age where reasonably necessary.
5. Tickets
Tickets are valid only for the event, date and ticket type stated in the booking confirmation.
You are responsible for checking:
- Event date
- Event location
- Ticket type
- Participant details
- Any eligibility requirements
- Event-specific information
before completing your purchase.
Where a ticket is issued to a named participant, we may require that participant's details to match our registration records.
If you purchase a ticket for another person, you are responsible for providing them with the relevant event information and terms. Each participant must separately comply with and, where required, accept the Event Participation Waiver.
6. Prices and Booking Fees
Ticket and product prices will be displayed before you complete your purchase.
Any compulsory fees or charges collected by us will be disclosed before checkout.
Where a booking, payment or ticketing platform charges its own separate fee, that fee may also be subject to the provider's terms.
If a price has been displayed incorrectly due to an obvious error, we may contact you to offer the correct price or cancel the affected order and issue an appropriate refund.
We will not increase the price of a ticket after your purchase has been completed.
7. Ticket Refunds
Event tickets are non-refundable as standard, except:
- Where our Refund Policy allows otherwise
- Where we agree to a refund because of exceptional circumstances
- Where you have a legal right to a refund
Because On a Plod tickets relate to leisure activities taking place on a specified date, the usual 14-day cooling-off right for many online purchases does not normally apply to event tickets.
We may consider refund requests in genuinely exceptional circumstances on a case-by-case basis and may require reasonable supporting evidence.
Injury, inability to train, lack of fitness, a change of personal plans or simply being unable to attend will not normally qualify for a refund.
Full details are set out in our Refund Policy.
Nothing in these Terms or the Refund Policy restricts rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
8. Ticket Transfers and Resale
Tickets may only be transferred where On a Plod or our authorised ticketing provider permits transfers.
You must not:
- Resell a ticket for more than the amount originally paid
- Resell tickets as part of a business or commercial activity without permission
- Use tickets as part of a promotion, competition, hospitality package or commercial campaign without our written approval
- Produce, duplicate or distribute counterfeit tickets
- Misrepresent yourself as an authorised On a Plod ticket seller
We may cancel tickets that have been obtained or resold fraudulently or in serious breach of these Terms.
Where we cancel a ticket because of the ticket holder's fraud or serious misconduct, a refund may not be provided where it is lawful and reasonable for us to withhold it.
9. Event Changes
Running events can require operational and safety changes.
We may make reasonable changes to an event where necessary, including changes to:
- Route
- Start and finish arrangements
- Start waves
- Timings
- Course layout
- Event facilities
- Event village layout
- Safety arrangements
- Activities or programming
Minor changes that do not materially alter the overall event experience will not normally entitle you to a refund.
Partners, brands, food traders, entertainment, products, giveaways and other third-party activations may change and are not guaranteed unless they have been expressly sold as a material part of your ticket.
Material changes
If we make a significant change to an essential part of the event you purchased, we will tell affected ticket holders as soon as reasonably practicable.
Where appropriate and required by law, we will provide the option to cancel the affected booking and receive a refund rather than requiring you to accept a materially different event.
10. Event Postponement and Rescheduling
We may postpone or reschedule an event where reasonably necessary, including because of:
- Severe or dangerous weather
- Unsafe course conditions
- Venue unavailability
- Public safety concerns
- Emergency situations
- Instructions from police, local authorities or other public bodies
- Security incidents
- Major infrastructure disruption
- Circumstances outside our reasonable control
If an event is rescheduled, your ticket will normally remain valid for the replacement date.
We will communicate the options available to ticket holders following any postponement or significant rescheduling.
Where a rescheduling amounts to a material change and you do not wish to accept the replacement arrangements, any refund rights will be dealt with in accordance with applicable consumer law and our Refund Policy.
11. Event Cancellation
If On a Plod cancels an event and does not provide a replacement event or arrangement that you accept, we will provide the refund or other remedy to which you are entitled under applicable consumer law.
Where a refund is due, it will normally relate to amounts paid to On a Plod for the affected ticket.
Any separately charged third-party fees will be dealt with in accordance with applicable law and the relevant provider's terms.
Unless we are legally responsible for them, On a Plod is not responsible for separate arrangements you make with third parties, such as:
- Travel
- Accommodation
- Parking
- Equipment hire
- Food and drink
- Other bookings associated with attending an event
We recommend making refundable or flexible travel and accommodation arrangements where possible.
This does not exclude any loss which you are legally entitled to recover from us.

Running and endurance exercise involve inherent risks.
Participants are responsible for:
- Assessing their own ability to participate
- Acting responsibly
- Remaining aware of their surroundings
- Following event instructions
- Following applicable road and public-space rules
- Taking reasonable care for themselves and others

15. Refusal of Entry and Removal
We may refuse entry to or remove a person from an event where we reasonably believe this is necessary for:
- Safety
- Security
- Preventing serious disruption
- Protecting other participants or members of the public
- Enforcing material event rules
This may include where someone:
- Is seriously intoxicated or impaired
- Behaves dangerously
- Is abusive or threatening
- Presents a significant safety risk
- Seriously or repeatedly refuses to follow event instructions
- Has obtained a ticket fraudulently
Where removal results from a participant's own serious misconduct or material breach of these Terms, they will not normally be entitled to a refund.
This does not affect any statutory rights.
16. Alcohol
Alcohol may be available at some On a Plod events or associated venues.
Participants are responsible for their own decision to consume alcohol.
We may refuse to serve alcohol or prevent a person from continuing to participate where they appear intoxicated or unable to participate safely.
Alcohol will only be supplied in accordance with applicable licensing and age restrictions.
Participants must comply with instructions from event staff, security and licensed venue personnel.

However, errors may occasionally occur because of:
- Timing technology
- Tracking equipment
- Participant actions
- Human error
- Technical failures
- Connectivity issues
We may investigate and correct obvious or reasonably verifiable errors.
Where prizes, rewards or recognition depend on event results, our reasonable determination of the final official results will apply, subject to correction where appropriate.
18. Personal Property
You are responsible for your personal belongings at an event.
Bag drops, storage areas or similar facilities may be provided for convenience but should not be treated as secure storage unless expressly stated otherwise.
We recommend that you do not bring unnecessary valuables.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss, theft or damage caused by:
- Your own actions
- Another participant
- A member of the public
- Circumstances outside our reasonable control
Nothing in this section excludes responsibility for loss or damage caused by our negligence or where liability cannot legally be excluded.
19. Merchandise and Products
Event ticket refund rules do not apply to merchandise.
Products purchased online are subject to separate consumer rights.
For most non-personalised goods purchased online, you have the right to tell us that you wish to cancel the purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, subject to applicable legal exceptions.
You will then normally have a further 14 days to return the goods.
Any statutory rights relating to goods that are:
- Faulty
- Damaged
- Not as described
- Not of satisfactory quality
- Not fit for their intended purpose
are unaffected by these Terms.
Product availability
All products are subject to availability.
We may cancel and refund an order where a product becomes unavailable after purchase.
